Electronic Medical Record Service
ASA Health’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is a complete medical information system. An EMR is filed electronically for easy access. While a member may have multiple medical records scattered across various doctor’s offices, this EMR allows an individual to have easy access to their complete, consolidated medical information at any hour. A typical medical record would consist of personal information, immunization records, medication histories, allergies, surgeries and existing medical conditions as well as insurance and practitioner information. Depending on individual preferences and requirements, it can be a much more complicated record. Best of all, it’s an easy and effective way to track your medical information and have it available for easy reference.

Records are accessible on an emergency and non-emergency basis through a professional team of helpful and friendly registered nurses specially trained in telephone triage. Personal medical records are relayed in over 140 languages and are always secure - because ASA Health recognizes the confidentiality of medical histories.

To ensure security, confidentiality and systems integrity, personal medical records are kept discreetly on our secure system. To ensure accuracy, Registered Nurses enter the medical histories provided. Only members, their designates as well as verified emergency personnel have access to a member’s information through our nurse-gated 24/7 Emergency Call Center.

Nurse Help Line
With the Nurse Help Line we can provide members with timely access to our registered nurses and the ability to better determine the most appropriate manner in which their injury or symptom can be treated.
Members are entitled to receive medical guidance and information through our Nurse Help Line. This toll-free service is provided by registered nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in over 140 languages from anywhere in the United States and Canada.
International Nurse Help Line
This service offers multilingual medical guidance and information opening an enhanced level of service among nurse help lines. Collectively our Registered Nurses speak every major world language and can provide guidance and information in over 140 languages in all. No matter where in the world you may be, if you require medical services and have encountered a language barrier, help is as near as a telephone. Our nurses bridge the gap between cultures and language difficulties to ensure you receive timely medical guidance and information. The International Nurse Help Line is on call every minute of every day and this service is toll-free from nearly every country in the world.
Language Centric Nurse Help Line
It has long been a strong suit of our Nurse Help Lines that we can give medical guidance and advice in over 140 languages of which over 40 are primary languages of our nurses. Evolving out of this concept we developed the International Nurse Help Line which we opened to international access for the travel market and eventually language-centric lines to service populations for which language is a barrier.

Originally developed for companies offering visitor travel insurance, this product has grown to encompass specific core communities within major North American cities. By servicing these communities in their own languages we are able to take the communication difficulties out of receiving guidance and assistance when the member most needs it.

Epidemic & Bio-Terrorism Screening Nurse Help Line
We have enhanced our Nurse Help Line products by adding an overlay that allows for screening of epidemic and bio-terrorism threat against the US. This overlay consists of simple routine protocols that help us alert you to a possible population contamination. With this type of screening, those who become ill have a better chance of quick recovery or survival if the emergency can be detected early. We aren’t doctors, or hospitals, specialists, or governing bodies – we are just concerned about the well-being of the American people and want to do our part keeping America safe.
UMED Guardian
A comprehensive service from UMED that marries the operational structures of the Electronic Medical Record Services it offers with the skill-set and knowledge of the nurses on-staff at the Nurse Help Line. This comprehensive service is called UMED Guardian.

Actively Gathered
Information is gathered from 3 sources:  The client, the client's doctors, and from regular outbound calls by UMED medical professionals.  Clients and caregivers can update files at any time, but UMED Guardian is the only service that regularly and pro-actively reaches out for accurate information.

Professionally Managed
Medical experts with a thorough understanding of medical terminology enter data and manage client files. UMED nurses call clients regularly to update the information and make any necessary changes.  This active monitoring means that records are up-to-date, more accurate and more detailed.

Regularly Reported
With each outreach call, our nurses generate a status report that can be sent by secure e-mail. Medical professionals can use this for ongoing health assessment to identify potential problems like medication adherence or conflict and other caregivers can use it to keep informed.

Wellness Passport
The ASA Health Wellness Passport is the easiest and most convenient way to organize and keep up-to-date, accurate medical records. Members can open the Passport for quick reference to their health records. The Passport includes information on:

You can even use your passport to carry your entire family's health information, immunization records, health plan cards and even recent prescriptions. We've even heard that this passport is where some people store their medical receipts until it comes time to file taxes.

Dental CARE
ASA Health’s comprehensive Dental Care Plan provides members with savings between 20% and 40% on preventative and diagnostic care at more than 15,000 participating providers nationwide.

  • Save from 20% to 40% on over 200 procedures
  • When seeing a participating general dentist, payments are guaranteed according to the schedule of benefits

Health Medical Bill Savings
This service provided by Financial Analysts Group Ltd. will review bills from doctors, hospitals or health plans to ensure charges are accurate. Should they find a discrepancy, they will undertake to negotiate a lower rate and/or eliminate the charge from the bill. They share in the savings 50/50 so there is no up-front fee to have bills reviewed. It's estimated that over 40% of medical bills contain errors. Sometimes medical bills can be quite complex. Even if the member doesn’t think there is an error, they are encouraged to send it and let the experts decide. They have nothing to lose.
Doctor Check
Members can phone in and after describing symptoms and/or giving their doctor's diagnosis, they will receive the name of 2-3 credentialed specialists. Contact information is geographically specific so members receive only those within their local area. This service employs a physician-led research team to review, refine, validate and verify credentials of physicians before they will be referred. Each physician is then asked to provide a comprehensive professional biography and information on office practices. Members are only given those names that suit their needs. Members should also be ready to provide contact information, describe symptoms, describe doctor's diagnosis, and give physician/specialist contact information if applicable.
ABCs of Travel Discounts
Members receive up to 65% off regular rates on over 24,000 hotels worldwide; up to 30% off car rentals, and the best possible rates on airfare, cruises, and travel packages. They will receive personalized bookings and the convenience of e-tickets wherever possible. The Members are encouraged to give as much advance notice as possible to increase choice and availability. Limitations and restrictions may apply.
Vision Care
Members receive discounts up to 50% on eyewear and eye-care services from National Vision Administrator’s (NVA) national panel of providers. In addition, members receive discounts on contact lenses through NVA’s home delivery program. They can call a representative for a listing of network providers in their area. Providers can be accessed by zip code or area code through www.e-nva.com. Discount exam rates are set by state; however, pricing for products varies by provider. Members are encouraged to contact several providers to assure the best discounts for specific needs.

NVA’s vision provider network consists of over 11,000 qualified eye care providers. Furthermore, the insured vision provider network includes 7,800 providers for a total of 18,800 ophthalmologists, optometrists, and opticians in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

New to ASA Health, NVA now offers discounts on Lasik Laser Vision Corrective Surgery. For participants who are nearsighted, farsighted or affected by astigmatism, NVA offers a discount Laser refractive surgery benefit at an average discount of 15-30% off the providers usual customary rates for this procedure.

This program also provides a contact lens replacement service to contact lens wearers nationwide, offering convenience and savings of up to 60%. The report provides health-rating surveys including any reported deficiencies, as well as comparison of nursing homes or hospitals within the same state. Hearing Care

With this service members can call and get the contact information for qualified health practitioners close to their home. From Family Doctors, to Pediatricians, from Dentists to Specialists. Physician & Medical Center Locator will even point out where the nearest hospital is located as well as the Medical Clinics that service their neighborhood.
